I started 2021 as a Personal trainer and I will be finishing the year as a photographer.
What a year I've had, but the past four months have been amazing. Taking the plunge to do photography full time was the best decision I've made this year.
It hasn't been easy building a new business and I've come up against my own imposter syndrome and challenges along the way trust me, but nothing in life is worth having if it isn't easy right?
So many shoots I've actually lost count of the work I have done. But the experiences I've had towards the end of this year have blown my mind, from working on the artwork for my wonderful wife's EP, getting to be in the studio and watch artists create work/music that isn't even released yet and capture those moments on stage and behind the scenes of tours. Honestly my heart bursts that people/ clients have hired me and let me be a part of some really special stuff/projects/ award evenings and more, I'm truly humbled.
I get such a buzz from sending the completed shots to clients and then seeing them shared all over socials etc. any other toggs get this rush of adrenaline??
The biggest highlight for the year though has to be creating my first EVER music video which premiered in MAVERICK magazine, honestly it feels so good to have a publication like that under my belt at such an early stage of my career. I will shout this from the rooftops for a while and why the hell not. One thing i'm trying to be better at is speaking positively of the good things i do and create, why the fuck not aye??
I still have a few shoots booked in for December so the year isn't completely over yet, but my mind is already racing to 2022 and photography domination. Not a cocky statement, just very motivated for what I can build.
I'm so excited to see what 2022 brings and how creative I can get. I'm still going to be learning as I go and hopefully this can only improve my service, my imagery and quality of my business.
But for now I'd like to thank anyone who’s invested, trusted and worked with me this year and a massive thank you to anyone who has followed me, shared my work and supported me throughout, i'm living my best life so THANK YOU!!
